Who We Are

The National Watermelon Association is a nonprofit, membership association shaping the watermelon industry for future generations. We are the voice of the watermelon industry in the U.S., with hundreds of members representing growers, shippers, and key suppliers.

For over a century, NWA has been guided by dedicated volunteers from the industry. Our governing body, the Executive Committee, is comprised of Officers, Executive Committee members, Executive Council members, Lifetime Council members, and the Presidents of our affiliated State Chapters.

In addition to this group, we have several volunteer committees where leaders from our membership collaborate to drive specific initiatives forward. These committees include the Public Affairs Committee, Research Committee, Promotions Committee, Food Safety Committee, and Grade Standards Committee.
